Monroe County Sheriff's Office

The Monroe County Sheriff's Office Administration Division has numerous and diverse responsibilities and while divided into sections must coordinate complex issues and work as a unit to accomplish its multi‐faceted missions. Members of this Division are special deputy sheriffs, but do not normally perform law enforcement related duties in a field environment. A small sample of the range of functions performed within this Division is tax warrant enforcement and collection for the State of Indiana, service of civil process of a variety of types, sale of real estate, sale of personal property, sex offender registration and visitation, criminal warrant coordination, firearms permits, criminal background investigations, criminal history checks, personnel and employee services, etc.
